# Introduction

"The Ardent Story" is one that began when I was between the ages of four and six. I created the iconic "A" and the three-lined logo back then, which I referred to as my brand. For several years, I continued to draw and develop it as my brand. However, during the winter of 2018, I decided to turn it into a reality. I invested some of my savings in ordering my first hat sample, and I was pumped with the result. Using my father's connections in the action sports industry, we ordered more, and the brand took off from there. With my parents' help, I launched a strong social media campaign to promote the brand. I was keen to emphasize the message behind Ardent, which was to encourage the youth of our generation to stay active. The Ardent philosophy is simple - passion is key, regardless of skill level. We encourage each other to try new things and stay active. The definition of Ardent is passion and enthusiasm. Perfect.

After a few years of rapid growth, I began to feel the pressure, and I decided to take a step back and focus on the skate community. I also took a break from the pressures of Instagram and everything that came with it. Meanwhile, the Twitter account became interesting as cryptocurrency was taking off in a bull run. NFTs were the craze, and with my dad and cousin's help, we created an NFT project that proved to be a valuable learning experience. We joined the VaporFi community around that time, and we both invested in the project. The community was full of kind and passionate people, which encouraged me to collaborate with VaporFi. Tom, the founder, authorized me to design a collaboration between Ardent and VaporFi, which was the birth of Crypto Lids. I then added more web3 elements to Ardent's store, with some success. It was a fun way to mix my passion for streetwear-inspired apparel with web3.

The domain cryptolids.com marked a new beginning. Tom from VaporFi sent me a direct message one day out of nowhere, saying he had a gift for me. He offered me the cryptolids.com domain he owned, and everything fell into place. Our five-year experience in making hats, along with my dad's connections for soft goods, clicked together. We built a website, migrated all the merch from Ardent, and hit the ground running. The concept grew quickly, and we began to host merchandise stores on our site and curate collections for them. One of the challenges of crypto is that the merch stores often sell multiple products with the same company logo. We want to take it further and create a vision collection with styles that incorporate elements from sports, streetwear, upscale casual, and action sports apparel brands. We want to provide people with good quality merchandise that they can trust at a reasonable price for the projects they know and love. Web3 fans are loyal, just like hardcore sports fans, who stay true to their favorites. That true project loyalty should be rewarded with cool merch.

Merchandising for web3 projects is an excellent way to market your project while keeping the community happy. We aim to create items that people can wear every day of the week and be proud to show off their favorite projects and blockchains.
